My First Banana Loaf

My first attempt ever at making a banana loaf… it smells scrumptious even though I’ve never actually liked banana loaf or bread.

Apologies Sam, this was a request so no taste testers required this time round :-*

Recipe courtesy of Cape Malay Cooking with Fatima Sydow

Tomorrow: the proof will be in the tasting 😀

ThrowBack Tuesday anyone…?

ThrowBack Tuesday anyone…?

A few years ago, when crying was my daily pastime for the duration of more than a year and death was something I longed for…..God reminded me of something in His word.

It saved my life and most likely is the reason I am still alive today.

So….I’m sharing it with you 🙂
No matter you may be facing right now, take it from me you can trust God’s word

Romans 8: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Its not true because I believe it, I believe it because its true!

It should have been me…

It should have been me…

My life was taken from me in so many different ways… at different times.
But believe me when I say God has blessed me with even better. And the life others now live in my place… well theirs pale in comparison to mine. I realise how some souls need me in their lives but they won’t accept me or what I have to impart.

Love isn’t love until you’ve given it away. And I thank God for loving me enough and teaching me how to love myself inspite of all the wack things that have happened to me.

Its my story, written on the pages of life, that provides the basis for the inspiration I have now become.

As always … Thank You Abba, You are the best, You make ALL things new.
